How Stress Hurts – How I Can Help

Do you often find yourself feeling anxious, irritable, angry, or depressed?  Do you have trouble concentrating, remembering things, or sleeping?  Are you gaining weight, or perhaps you’ve lost your appetite?  Do you feel an almost constant state of overwhelm? Do you struggle in your personal or work life, or your ability to function?  These are manifestations of stress.

Stress is a part of life.  Too much stress can harm your health, our relationships, and our work.

Stress comes at us from all directions these days.  It’s important to recognize that both happy and unhappy events can be stressful.  Whatever the source, the impact of stress is the same.

How you react to stress has a huge impact on your happiness and well-being.  Chronic stress can harm you mentally, physically, and emotionally.  You may think you should be able to handle it, but self-care is important.  If you ignore it, your symptoms persist and can worsen – and the risk of serious illness increases.  You are not alone.  It is important to take a step toward self-care rather than just hoping things will get better on their own. When we take action, we can help ourselves, our loved ones and reduce health risks.

Despite how you may feel now, please know that you can change your response to stress.  You can choose how you react. You can find and develop an inner core of strength, resilience, and calm. You can reverse the impact of stress on your life. I want to help.

My name is Susan Wilk.  I’ve taught meditation and stress management to people like you for over 20 years.  I developed a simple, effective program to beat the ways stress invades so much of your life.  Meditation is an extremely powerful tool against anxiety and stress.
